How many years has your pharmacy been in business?

Our pharmacy has been in business for 59 years (since 1962), and I have owned the store for seven years.

What has been the most significant change within your pharmacy over the past five years, and how has it helped you serve your patients better?

Our new drive-thru that we added at the beginning of this year has definitely been a huge improvement for our business and for our customers! We are able to take care of our patients in a much more convenient and timely manner. It has also allowed us to offer a safer way to pick up medications for our patients trying to limit contact due to COVID-19 concerns.

What is your favorite thing about being a pharmacist?

I love helping people and being available when they need help! I also love that my small town knows me and trusts me. They come to me for advice and help with anything, from which OTC medication they need to whether they need stitches for a cut they just incurred to whether they need to take their child to the doctor for specific cold symptoms.

What makes your pharmacy unique?

My staff makes my pharmacy unique. I have the absolute best people in the world working with me. We provide one-on-one customer service that cannot be beat.

What do you think your patients love most about your pharmacy?

Our patients love the fact that we treat them like they are family, because to us, they are!

What are your favorite ways to get involved with your community?

Where do I start? I love our town and our community with all my heart and soul, so anything that I can do to have a positive impact is a huge blessing for me! Being able to offer COVID-19 vaccines to our community has been one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done. I am so thankful that we were given the opportunity to vaccinate our community.

What excites you most about the future of independent pharmacy?

We are excited about the future of point-of-care testing and many other new things headed our way.

What does Locally Loved mean to you?

Locally Loved means a small-town pharmacy, owned and run by a hometown girl from that same small town, and a staff that lives in and loves that small town and goes above and beyond to care for our patients. It also represents a community that loves and appreciates everything that their small-town pharmacy does for them and the place they live!
