What has been the most significant change within your pharmacy over the past five years, and how has it helped you serve your patients better?
The most significant change within our pharmacy has been the addition of our new advanced practice pharmacists Hira Khan (pharmacist-in-charge) and Raana Sidky (staff pharmacist). Owing to their enthusiasm and drive to move the practice of pharmacy forward, our pharmacy has made several changes to expand care to our community, including vaccine clinics, asthma consultations, and diabetes management.
What is your favorite thing about being a pharmacist?
Our favorite thing about being pharmacists is using our clinical knowledge and experience to become advocates for our patients’ health. Being easily accessible to our patients allows us to become their confidant and ensure they are receiving the best care while addressing any health concerns they have.
What makes your pharmacy unique?
The most unique part of our pharmacy is our motivated and dedicated team members who are willing to go above and beyond to make sure our patients’ medication-related needs are met. We also strive to maintain an uplifting atmosphere for our pharmacy staff and customers alike, which allows for great interactions and optimal health outcomes for our patients.
What do you think your patients love most about your pharmacy?
Our patients love the way we go above and beyond to ensure their needs are met. We treat every patient that walks through our doors with respect and care, and we strive to build strong relationships with our patients. We also take every opportunity to decorate our pharmacy in creative ways and offer fun activities such as raffles and games to keep our staff and customers engaged.
What are your favorite ways to get involved with your community?
Our favorite ways to get involved with our community is by hosting health events and fairs to promote health. We also organize online campaigns to raise awareness of pharmacy-related and social issues. Our staff distributes informational packets about vaccines and other medical topics.
What does Locally Loved mean to you?
To our pharmacy, Locally Loved means that our patients appreciate the family-like bond we have built with them over the years. We have always strived to build strong relationships with our patients and their loved ones. Locally Loved means we get to continue doing the most we can for our patients and their health every day.
